Take Me Away #12

take me away new art 1

There is something sacred about feminine energy. It feels comforting, beautiful, and heavenly. It’s a voice that extends from ones spirit and enters into another. I listen as wavelengths travel across space and affect me. I love the swooning sound of another’s voice that creates that perfect calm. If I could wrap myself in moments of music, I would cover myself in layers of female vocals that have that ability to transport the listener.

Finding true art in todays music industry is like looking for a soulmate in an ocean of billions of people. It is possible, but highly unlikely. Every once in a while it is serendipitous that one would find something as exciting and harmonic as the work of Hugh. Hugh is a little known musical ensemble, comprised of Andy Highmore, Joshua Idehen, Tino Kolarides, and Izzy Brooks; all to create the British powerhouse that is, Hugh. There is no information as to whether or not they are signed to a label, but that’s irrelevant to their talent. Although their stature in the music world is still developing, their actual musical talent is developed and quite masterful.

For those of you that pride yourself in being hipsters and love the fact that you listen to music that none of your friends know, well Hugh is the perfect band for you. Don’t expect this band to be hidden for long because the vocals and musical stylings are beyond the realm of indie and are emerging into an arena of popularity. Listen for yourself to the song that has me enamored at the moment, titled “I Can’t Figure You Out”.

Another favorite track of mine is titled “Look Back In Laughter” and is remixed by Paper Tiger. The track has some elements of the Glitch in it, but still boasts that signature Hugh sound. It is definitely a track that deserves to placed onto any music lovers playlist.

There is nothing more pleasing that listening to great art for the first time and knowing that you are about to share this experience with others. I have found a new favorite artist and will be watching intently for new content from HUGH. Join me, as this band explodes onto the music scene.
